"Identity theft is on the rise, and as the severity and frequency of data breaches increases, cybercriminals will continue to use the personal information they have access to in even more sophisticated ways," said Leena Elias, Chief Product Officer at Gen. "Identity theft has no borders. It can happen to anyone, anywhere, and potentially cause lasting financial and reputational harm. If the worst happens, the process of restoring somebody's identity is often exhausting. We've expanded the availability of Avast Secure Identity so that more people around the world can better protect their identities and receive the support they need to restore them if they fall victim."

Avast Secure Identity continuously monitors for personal information across private forums and the deep and dark web and notifies customers if any of their personal information is detected. Personalized guidance from knowledgeable Identity Restoration Specialists gives people peace of mind if identity theft occurs.

How about improve the web protection that is almost non-existent in the products? It's all about money for this company now. How much can we charge? what's the most money we can make. so much for quality products.

This is good to genuinely see from Avast! Especially in the rise of data theft.

~LDogg
they're are all kinds of companies with similar services to LifeLock of gen digital
What they do is basically instead of you sending request to data brokers to remove your data off lists they do it for you anyway
Even with these services I'm sure some will illegally keep your data forever and generally it will forever be available in the dark web , decentralized platforms at the very least

Personally I would just look for the cheapest service of this kind as it will be more successful then sending requests yourself using usa data collection laws as there are so many ways to bypass and just forwarded your data to a different company if you request a deletion hence by law technically honoring us law while forwarding your data elsewhere to a different broker but companies that offer services to do that on your behalf probably have a big enough list to force most legal data brokers to delete your data so there will be only illegal ways left to find your data so at least companies wont use your data anymore only criminals

There definitely has to be fixes to the law and easy way from government websites to request your data deleted without having to either let some company do that for you or trying to contact every data broker yourself as it is right now
hopefully one day privacy will be accessible and not just written as a law that you can hardly use to defend yourself
Oh and I hope the government will pass a law that will allow you to check whoever has access to your data and the ability to easily revoke their access
