Is Avast FW any better or provides any better protection than Win 7 FW?

If Yes, then may be I will get Avast Internet Security.
If No, then I will go with Avast Free.

I know other features in AIS but want to know only about FW.

Windows Firewall is more than enough my friend. So, I'd go with Avast! Free. ;)

The default firewall is honestly more than enough, I would go with Avast! Free.

IMO Avast Free + Winows Firewall = A good combo and even better if you add Sandboxie Free!! Cannot beat the price either.

Any firewall from IS including from Avast tends to be a bit complex up from maintaning and control the alerts.

For Windows Firewall already worked at default and doesn't need much to consult unless willingly to add rules on advanced configuration.

Its just same capabilities, others may based on database signatures to make firewall work efficiently,

Thanxx for the reply.
So its Win 7 FW.

I have a licence for Eset AV.
What would be better for average users Avast Free or Eset AV?
Dont reply on the basis that I have a licence for Eset & Avast is Free.
