Avast - license question!

I am wondering if I had Avast on one computer can I get it for a different one? or do I have to purchase it again?

I don't know if I have understood correctly.
If you're referring to the commercial version of Avast, there are licenses for 1PC, 2PC, up to 10PCs, depending on what you want to buy.
Of course the 1PC license is valid only for 1PC.
If you speak of the free version, license is valid on all PCs as you want (enabled for every pc)
