AVG Compatibility with Malwarebytes

I recently had the Sweetpacks maleware problem. I got rid of it following the MalwareTips process. During that process I downloaded the Malewarebytes Anti-Malware. I am running AVG Antivirus software and want to know if running both of these (i.e., Anti Maleware and Antivirus software) is a problem?

I know people that have used that combo for years with no conflicting issues.

+1 I ran AVG on (2) desktop PCs for 2 yrs with MBAM free without issue. If you have MBAM Pro I can't speak to that since I always just used the free version with on demand scanning only.
