Had a problem with Outlook (need for work) today. Changed a lot of things on my laptop, but it's a bad office update  https://www.askwoody.com/2020/bad-office-click-to-run-update-blamed-for-outlook-freeze/ For me, the solution/workaround was stop using Microsoft Defender (configured by ConfigureDefender) and go back to Kaspersky Security Cloud Free. No more Outlook crashes  Just must update my security configuration again...
