Advice Request Best software for tracking malicious communication

hello guys,
i want to know good (preferably open source) software to trace and analyzing the communication of each processor with any remote servers
i want to test behavior of some software in VMware
i installed wire shark as protocol analyzer but it is not so usable (not easy to learn)
i like IT career and especially cyber security
so what is your advice ????

Wire shark is the simple and easy tool to trace communications. Moreover, if you use Fiddler you can trace Web communications easily. After that, it depends on the situation what tool you should use.
