Welcome to VIPRE Antivirus Plus, our newest offering in the VIPRE for Home product line. VIPRE Antivirus Plus is the result of direct communication with our customer base who have asked for a lighter, more responsive, security focused application without all of the bells and whistles that our VIPRE Advanced Security product offers. In many cases, the trimmed down feature-set offered by VIPRE Antivirus Plus offers an easier to use day-to-day experience while managing your endpoint security posture.

While VIPRE Antivirus Plus does not contain all of the features of VIPRE Advanced Security it does contain the core security features that make VIPRE an award winning endpoint security solution! VIPRE Antivirus Plus is a security first endpoint security solution that focuses on security over features to provide a lower cost, lighter footprint security experience.

Known issues and workarounds
This section lists issues that are known at the time of release. In some cases these are bugs that we are working to resolve with a subsequent release. Other items may be due to causes outside of our control, such as bugs with other vendors' software. In all cases we have tried to provide a workaround for you to consider in case you should experience an issue.

Blocked website history does not populate while UI is open [VIPREHOME-2676]
Websites that are blocked by Web Filtering may not immediately display in the Blocked Website History section of the UI.
Workaround: To see the most recent list of blocked websites, close and open the VIPRE UI. Then navigate to Manage > Firewall > Blocked Website History.

- Advanced Active Protection - VIPRE’s Active Protection keeps you safe from ransomware and other malware threats by scanning all accessed files with minimum impact on your system performance.
- Web Filtering – Cloud lookup and block of potentially dangerous websites.
- Quarantine harmful items - By default, potential threats are moved into quarantine for you to review
- Easily exclude non-threats and ignore specific apps - Take control over which apps and areas of your PC VIPRE scans. Excluding non-threats tells VIPRE which items are not dangerous, and VIPRE can also ignore folders or apps that don't work well with antivirus.
- Auto-updated definitions - Constantly updated protection against the very latest threats through frequent cloud updates to our definitions
- Full/Quick/Custom Scans (Scheduled and Manual) - A Full scan goes deep into every corner of your PC; Quick scan rapidly checks the most common user folders for a brief checkup; Custom Scan enables you to pick exactly what you want to scan, including external drives
