Downloaded and installed BIS 2015 and it kept trying to shut off my Windows Update notifications for no reason whatsoever, uninstalled it and installed Windows 8 Security, problem solved.

Just a heads up for other Windows 8 / 8.1 users.

Windows 8 Security is built for windows 8 and 8.1 so I think all errors are fixed there.
