I had that in the beginning but now it says 120-day trial. Try US-New York proxy. If that doesn't work then just close and click the link again a few times, that's that I did

200 - 400 MB, depending on your machine. Around 200 on my machine when I had BD Free but it was very fast. No problems.

RAM usage does not equal slow. Only a problem if you have very limited RAM. @oldschool experience is an example of this.
