Started a couple of weeks ago, when I downloaded a aac to mp3 convertor - I noticed that when I visited a website a new tab would open alongside - mostly smartnewtab, but recently popcash.net and adclick, other ones included a site where it asked me to download the latest version of Java.
Tried spybot search and destroy, that didnt work, spyhunter 4, malware cleaner and malwarebites.
Put computer in safe mode and reset all browsers back to default. Tried to find the smartnew tab via regedit and couldnt see it anywhere. Windows defender doesnt find it and says that I am protected, malwarebites found 7 infections and quarantined them, problem still exists.
Any help will be gratefully appreciated
