It's funny because it's true!!) I don't anyone who actually bough winrar....... I use 7-zip however I also have WinRar....never really thought of actually buying it!

You can use WinRAR without buying or cracking the program, and it still works from what I've seen.

I use 7-Zip too, I just wish they developed more time in the GUI, even if the program does work, an updated GUI would be great.

I know 2 people who actually bought WinRar. One was a dare, the other was because he did not have a clue that there was something called freeware.

I did teach him the basics of freeware, but by then nearly all tools that have a freeware version of some sort were all paid on his system...

Not sure on latest versions of WinRAR but the one I have keeps asking me to buy but you can just ignore and use it as normal

Most cracked versions of WinRAR have some sort of infection deep inside, since it is a very popular product.

i don't like winrar so much....used 7-zip for few months then moved to Haozip.....only thing i like about Haozip more than 7-zip was it has better GUI than 7-zip....while other features are same......nowadays i am using Powerarchiver 2011 received some giveaways but i think i will go back to 7 zip once its new stable version comes out....

Indeed if someone can afford they have to contribute to developer like Adblock,winrar,winpatrol,sandbox,
They really helps us and we should make some contribution.

I have real good feeling for adblock developer and they really deserve some contribution from their users
