It was only last year when news broke that there would be a remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The original title was released a decade ago and is considered to be one of the best in the Call of Duty series. Unfortunately, at the time, consumers had to purchase the Legacy, Legacy Pro, or Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to enjoy the older classic. Luckily, it appears that Modern Warfare will get a proper standalone release that will arrive starting on June 27.
For those interested, the new entry will include the full single-player campaign, along with 16 multiplayer maps. The game will be completely redone in HD and will have remastered audio as well. Activision will also be holding a special event that will be called "Days of Summer". The event will last a total of five weeks and will offer giveaways, XP events, along with the introduction of a new map.
The game will be available to purchase as a physical disc as well as a digital download. It will cost $39.99 and will first come to the PlayStation 4 and should arrive later to the Xbox One and PC.
