Activision is launching a big eSports push
The official site of the Call of Duty World League offers the classic streams for all the matches that take place, but gamers can also watch recaps and get more information about their favorite teams and players.

Activision has already announced that the best Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 gamers in the world will be fighting for a prize pool that's over 3 million dollars (2.7 million Euro), which is a serious one for the eSports space.

The publisher has recently announced that it has purchased that the Major Gaming League, which has business related trouble, and that it has big plans to integrate its operations with its competitive, focused activities.

Activision sees that the eSports field is rapidly developing and wants to make sure that it is prepared to offer solid competitions linked to its most popular titles, including the Call of Duty series, Starcraft 2, Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set to get access to its first downloadable content pack, called Awakening, early in February, with gamers able to get access to four new multiplayer maps as well as a new zombie-based episode.

More DLC is planned for the rest of 2016 and Treyarch has said that it also plans to deliver more free updates to make sure that the experience is as balanced as possible.

Video game developer Infinity Ward is in charge of the next title in the Call of Duty series, which will be launched on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 in the fall of this year.

Activision will reveal an official name and other details in time for the E3 2016 event.

Hmmm...Maybe should be renamed "Camper League" I know I won't be there though :D
