colours look like Norton UI colour schemes.

thanks for sharing :)

I looked in it too and seems that it is more of a joke, if true.
The website is also so funny, that feels like the writer had a gene malfunctions.

If this has the same look as Norton then, why not give it ago. If Norton is not the best then this might be the same :)

Some screenshots: http://forum.safegroup.pl/cerber-antivirus-2012-podrobka-nortona-t6680.html#p161175
Live Update is the same as in Norton.

MyWoT rates the site as unsatisfactory.
There are no comments, so I'll have to investigate why myself.
Can someone test this product? I've got Windows 8 downloading, so I'm hoping to be able to do something with testing this soon, but for now my only source of information about this product is its unsatisfactory WoT rating.
Also, since this is apparently a free AV, I'm going to move this to the Other Security Products section.

I will try to see if I can get VM installed on the older pc and test run this client.

What type of malwarepacks are recommended? the collection here on the forum (skipping the 1000 ones since downloading that will take me ages for some extremely odd reason. Anything that is on skydrive that is)

Something basic would be a place to start.
On another note, selecting paypal as the payment option does redirect you to the actual paypal site, so they're either not after payment details or they're doing very badly at it.

Yeah I should be able to run it on the old machine but wont be too many screenshots. So ill do a quick review based on the malware packs, system performance etc.

A fake Norton.
Still, just because its interface is ripped off of Norton's AV, doesn't mean that it is malware.
That could have also been the reason for the unsatisfactory rating on the site.

I'm just stating what I see, I never said malware.

Surely your alarms bells are ringing, protecting over a 1 million users and only 300 downloads from CNET. Hmm..

And they're asking for money.. more like a scam.

Where is this company based?

Interesting:
MEGA HIGHTECH SL.
Centro De Negocios Puerta Banus,
Edificio A, Planta 1, Officina 5
Ctra. de Cadiz, Km. 175, Puerto Banus
29660 Marbella, Spain

A security software company based in Puerto Banus....

What is more interesting is this.

It's funny that they show images of fake AVs at th bottom of the screen.
An biozfear that is interesting although im confused of whee they are located Japan or Russia?

According to the site, they are basically in Puerto Banus.

bad news is: VMware wont run on my old machine.

So the test is on hold for the moment.

Thanks

Since you use VB, could you guide me in enabling bridge connection between host and guest or NAT?

last time I tried it didnt work but I am sure I did something wrong.

Edit:
Gonna give VB a go once again
