I have often seen sites and programs that tell you how is the strenght of your password etc.

Now keeping a strong password for each site is recommended, tho there are also other measures to take into consideration such as ensure you do not have any malware infections, do not go to dodgy sites etc.

I recently bumped into this site where you can see the strength of a password, more in dept than some built in features on some sites/programs when you have to create your password.

In a nutshell, the minimum requirements for a password:

Minimum 8 characters in length
Contains 3/4 of the following items:
- Uppercase Letters
- Lowercase Letters
- Numbers
- Symbols
