Chinese search giant Baidu has been disqualified from an artificial intelligence test in which it appeared to beat Google and Microsoft.

The test, in May, looked at how well computers recognise images. But it has now emerged that Baidu submitted far more tests than the rules allowed, meaning its results were not comparable with others in the competition.

The firm has apologized for "this mistake".

Why and How Baidu Cheated an Artificial Intelligence Test

We don’t know whether this was the action of one individual or a strategy of the team as a whole. But why a multibillion dollar corporation might bother to cheat on an obscure test operated by academics on a voluntary basis is actually quite clear.

In a paper work result, the article stated that its percentage error are better than two major search engines which can be acceptable however it reflects more why Chinese companies may become so bad.

if not from cheating, then privacy issues which worse compare to others. Tssk...
