Or in Regular speak: "You made us look bad, we can not influence the test results by paying an unknown entity we can only pay off "professional" organizations!" "Next we will show you that ZDNET, CNET rank us #1 and we are highly recommended by prestigious news organizations like The Infowars and a musician Kanye West!" The gall of this company is just freaking amusing! Thank you for making me laugh with that post, I really needed the humor since my wife is down with the flu and I am busy taking care of a toddler! @Shadowra thank goodness you are not using Youtube or this company would complain about your test just like some other company that is known to do that *cough* Bit *cough* defender and would have gotten your account banned. @csjames welcome to the likes of Elon Musk and Kanye West, just grab a shovel and start digging yourself in. I understand that your company will probably take all of these comments personally, but they are not meant that way. They are meant to show, how not to talk to people, even small-time independent testers on a small-time malware website. There are better ways to communicate your disagreements with the test, mainly by pointing out where the test went wrong, how the setup was done incorrectly and most importantly how to improve the setup and the test in order to reflect the whole capability of your defense suite. The most important part of your reply should have been that you have noticed possible holes in the defense, that you will investigate the deficiencies and attempt to arrive at a solution. The meat and potatoes of a PR nightmare gone wrong is not to blame the party doing the testing, it's to identify inconsistencies, acknowledge any possible deficiencies and work on methods to fix them while thanking the tester for pointing them out.
