Controversial facial recognition company Clearview AI has agreed to a ban that will prohibit it from selling its facial recognition database of more than 20 billion individuals to private companies.

The terms, reached in a settlement with the American Civil Liberties Union on Monday, highlight a landmark victory for privacy advocates.

In all honesty, I wouldn't doubt they would find a way to skirt past this. I mean, Google, Facebook, ect. has a lot of stuff similar to that ;p
