There have been POCs for totally fileless malware. But the more realistic problem is weaponized files that Comodo can't detect. Let's say MS Word has an unpatched vulnerability. I pack live content in a Word doc that leverages Windows script host to exploit that vulnerability. I can modify the system this way. I might be able to disable Comodo and the AV. Then I can download the payload, and trash the system. Fortunately, malware coders are lazy and they don't work so hard. This kind of an exploit is difficult and expensive and will be used only in a targeted attack on a high-value target.
