Custom-title for non-staff members.

Do you like the idea of having custom-title for members?

Staff Members currently do not have Custom Titles either. ;)

Well, if this idea does go ahead then I think it should be a privilege earned, either for Staff and Trusted Members or for people who have enough trophy points, regular posters with lots of good content (likes).

The only problem is that it might get a bit messy, for example one member is a "Regular Member", another member is titled "The King Of Aliens", then someone else (Cowpipe) is called "Alone in a field" etc. On a more serious note, what's to stop someone calling themselves a "Malware Fighter" or "Malware Expert", regular users might get confused and turn to one of these members for help getting rid of their virus infection and removal logs can be dangerous in inexperienced hands.

I'm kind of neutral on the idea for those reasons, but will be interesting to see what everybody else thinks about this :)

Well yeah. MT staff should make rules for custom titles ; but I too want to know people's opinions. Although, there is a MT Staff badge (it's built-in in XenForo) that represents staff and trusted members, so users will, I believe, not get confused. :)
