What is penetration testing?

In short, you're licensed (legal agreement between pen-tester and company) to try and hack into a company, network etc in order to find vulnerabilities that exist. Pen-testers can report back to the company and advise them on how to tighten up their security etc.

Pen-testing can be done anyway really, at home as well! Not just for companies.

Pen-testing is usually done in Linux environments, Kali-Linux, Backtrack are quite well known for this.

It's an exciting career path!

Many enthusiast hacker wanted to bypass the formality method of penetration testing hence they caught up by authorities and jailed.

Although many paper works before the actual testing, but assurance they will take actions for any vulnerabilities you will find.

I think it is not an ebook. it is a collection of recorded videos.

It was being advertized as eBook during the day, it's changed now, some error in description maybe..Content is still re-usable anytime should you want it(with some downloads), not a problem considering the price(free)
