It's a free anti-ransom software designed to protect you against ransomware without any signatures. It's doing pretty good job actually because it blocked large majority of ransomware, greatly decreasing the chances of your files getting encrypted.
This video is a lot longer than usual because of the testing procedure which requires more time and longer observation of the system. But is worth it as it shows exactly how ransomware works and how RansomFree is protecting you against it. I've decided to give a try to Cybereason's RansomFree tool myself. Other guys from the malware testing community have already tested it, but since it's behavior based, it's only appropriate I also test it. It's a free anti-ransom software designed to protect you against ransomware without any signatures. It's doing pretty good job actually because it blocked large majority of ransomware, greatly decreasing the chances of your files getting encrypted. It wasn't 100% effective and it still needs few improvements, but I like it because it gives you additional layer of protection for your existing security software, doesn't really seem to have much of a footprint on the system and it's free. So you really have nothing to lose. Cybereason RansomFree download: RansomFree by Cybereason: Free Ransomware Protection
