I think Malwarebytes is now has a service (I assume paid) to remove your personal data from data brokers. I saw an ad in an email today for Incogni, and IIRC Deleteme too, and others. I read an article a few weeks ago "ranking" these services, but hard to get a good feel. Anyone here using any of these services. What's your experience & opinion. And if some of your info has made to dark web, what's the point. I've read "just freeze your credit."

Using data scrubbing services can indeed help reduce your digital footprint and protect your privacy. However, it's important to remember that no service can guarantee 100% removal of your data, especially if it's already on the dark web. Freezing your credit can be a good preventive measure against identity theft. The effectiveness of these services can vary, so it's always a good idea to do your own research and choose a service that fits your needs and budget.

Once a person's personal data is out there, it is virtually impossible to get it removed from the web or the archived web. People pay all kinds of money, but unless you are paying for the $1,000+ per year executive service that is working daily to hunt-down and make opt-out requests, it is a exercise in futility and wasting money.

Yeap as in every root cause analysis the problem starts at the root...the government....the US gov doesn't give a flying F about your privacy hence the need for such stupid services. Try to get any info on a European, Russian, Asian individual? hard as hell. Meanwhile US Persons are an open book for identity theft.
