Have you tried this player?

Also how is it compared to Media Player Classic HC?

I know this is a project from the original KMPlayer Developer, but how is it compared to MPC HC and BS.Player Pro?

This is now our main PC video player, We did previously use VLC and MPC-HC.
PotPlayer seems to run very smooth.
Suggest maybe you give it a try :)
For audio we use foobar2000.

Ill give it a try.

Foobar2000... ah reminds me of the good old days. Still is a pain to configure it to my liking though. Perhaps I will give it a shot as well.

I experienced poor audio and video on many media files with PotPlayer.
It doesn't appear to be very stable for most of my media files.

I use Winamp for audio (because it is the best) and JetAudio for videos because even with small resolution videos, it can stretch to full screen without distortion. Also can play any video format without installing codec packs.

I have tried several media players for video files and JetAudio has the best picture quality. However I hate its media library that why I use Winamp for music.

Thanks.:D

0_o several options are off by default you should set it up like real audio(32bit) preset loudness, equaliser on and use dfx i don't know but as for image i've never face any problem with it change the video renderer and also the only player which has a better quality for hd is splash player pro :)

@umbra i've tried umplayer its nice too ;)
