Digital Defender Antivirus Free

The Free guidelines of digital defender.

  1. We offer a free version of our antivirus.
  2. This version offers a basic protection
  3. It does not have all the features we deliver in the Professional version of our product.
  4. We have listed the differences between the Free and Pro version on the site.
  5. We feel it is important to be clear in our communication to you, there are limitations in the Free product.
  6. We will never force you to buy our Pro, product. You can always run the free version if you prefer to do so.

Plexx

Uses Augnitum engine which is the one used in Outpost.

Same exact style of UI from Utiltool Antivirus to Prevention Antivirus (These also use the same Augnitum engine).

Utiltool AV is based in same country where I live:

PcMag said:
PROS
Free. Quick install. Fast full scan. Received VB100% award in one of two attempts.

CONS
Poor malware detection rate in testing. Poor removal of threats it did detect. Poor ability to keep malware from installing on a clean system.

BOTTOM LINE
Just because something's free doesn't mean it's a bargain. This nondescript antivirus won't cost you any money, but relying on it will cost you in reduced security. Some products do better at keeping a clean system clean than at rooting out entrenched malware; this one isn't good at either.

Too bad, I'm not sure when this happened but it had to be recent.
No news posted anywhere but you can see the contact details that indicates UtilTool Ltd now owns it. I just happen to accidentally discover this when visiting their website.
