hi guys,
I have a dilemma, i have to choose between Bitdefender Total Security 2015 vs Eset Smart S.8
already used bitdefender and was a little heavy, and eset is more lighter.
which I choose for my computer ?

Definitely ESET.
Eset is lighter, have better detection of malware and also better detection of potentially unwanted programs (PUP).
I think also is cheaper as price
Also they have better support team

When it comes to the stability then they said ESET is lighter, you might test it for the difference.

From those 2, I prefer ESET, but as you've already used Bitdefender, now try ESET and see the difference and decide yourself what suites you better :)

I feel a bit confused, all the antivirus testing labs give Bitdefender a better scores than Eset. This is not a joke.I talk about AV-Comparatives,AV-TEST,Virus Bulletin,as well as Pcmag and Toptenreviews. It has to be a major conspiracy,I don't understand at all what is going on,it is so strange...Greetings to all!!!

Thats maybe right. If u use bitdefender for some time(1 week or so)and after a fullscan is complet its realy light. As light as eset in my eyes. u cant install a av for 1 hour, test it and say its heavy. but many ppl do exactly this. and i would say the detection from bitdefender is just as good as esets. right click scan from the virus hub here on the forum where eset and qihoo get always the best results(eset often because they react just fast and add signatures) isnt realworld where bitdefenders heuristics and active virus control come into action.

ESET ...because it's going to be among the offerings for our Christmas and New Year's Giveaways!o_O:p
..but then again, so is Bitdefender.:rolleyes: I could also say "Choose ESET NOD 32, it's what I use!", but exterminator20 suggested ESET SECURITY 8 earlier, so I shall defer to his wisdom.:):)

On a serious note, as all whom have supported your "trying it out for yourself", I'm in complete agreement with 30 day trial, before you commit to either, is certainly well worth it. You can't go wrong!:D
