With DNS Jumper I tested few DNS.

My ISP DNS - Mostly under 10 MilliSecs for both Primary/Secondary
Google DNS - Mostly under 10 MilliSecs for both Primary/Secondary
OpenDNS & OpenDNS Family Shield - Mostly between 60-70 MilliSecs for both Primary/Secondary
Rest DNS - Mostly above 100 MilliSecs

ISP & Google results are kinda same. Both dont have mal/phish, etc... protection.
OpenDNS takes little more time. It has mal/phish, etc... protection.

I guess OpenDNS those extra millisecs compared to ISP & Google will not be noticeable in browsing, etc..., right?

Do you think I should give a try to OpenDNS?
Currently I use GoogleDNS...never had a prob. Is OpenDNS speed/stable/reliable?

And any experience of OpenDNS i.e Which is better OpenDNS or OpenDNS Family Shield? I mean in terms of speed/stable/reliable?

Go ahead and test it, remember that once you use DNS everything will change the response time through server, either its fast or not. Either choose if its protection or speed.

The main thing in choosing a DNS server is the reliability of the servers. I used to use google DNS and had no issues there, resolved most sites very quickly. I found that OpenDNS definitely affected me some as I was noticing that the sites had a slightly longer wait time, especially sites that I have no visited before.

Right now I am using DNSCrypt to also encrypt my DNS traffic, and am using their own DNS servers. So far so good, no issues whatsoever and it feels as speedy as the google DNS servers I was on.
