Which one is better than the other ?
I wonder which one is better on its way. I do not want Ghostery!
Only these two, from now thanks for your recommends and explanations.
by the way I am using DoNotTrackMe in the Opera.

@yigido, it's as though you read:eek: my mind! I was, in fact, going to start a post just like this except I considered matching DoNotTrackMe (installed on Chrome this morning) up against Zenmate which I have had on Firefox the last 2 weeks. Like you, I'd moved away from Ghostery since it feels like a chore having to re-select the options to 'block all' each time it updates.
Right here & now I choose DoNotTrackMe. In time we shall see!;)
Personally I liked DNTMe... Don't know if its better than Disconnect or not..
Check out Privacy Badger from Electronic Frontier Foundation..
https://www.eff.org/privacybadger
Please note its in alpha..
I agree with you, @KaptainBug! I am liking DoNotTrackMe.:) ..and I actually 'saw' Privacy Badger in my search for DNTM!:p
I'll read more about it too. As for Disconnect it's visually more impressive on Chrome than Firefox, & I've read (here) that Disconnect has less delaying effect than Ghostery. Even so, I'm just not sold on Disconnect.

Thanks mates for the replies. Privacy badger looks like a toy for me. It needs some time.
I am now waiting with Do Not Track Me by Abine. It is working good now. by the way KaptainBug,
you can close the maskme in the preferences. see

Thanks. I am not using it for a while, so I was not aware of it.. :)
Now I'm using self-destructing cookies, which I like it a lot..

IMO the approach of self-destructing cookies/vanilla cookie manager is better than the conventional approach of scanning the pages for trackers. Companies like Abine/Ghostery/Disconnect need to keep track of newly released advertising companies and add them to their blacklist.. But SDC doesn't need any blacklist, it just deletes all third party cookies on a page, and deletes the first party cookie when the tab is closed. How cool is that.. I find this extremely useful, fast and efficient..
