Well, as Firefox user I wanna know if you really need a 64x version. Honestly, I don't see the point of a 64x version.

What do you guys think?

I know it is said that a 64-bit browser is faster on a 64-bit system, but from what I see, the 32-bit versions are just as fast, if not faster... and consume less resources.

I guess it all depends upon what is meant by "faster." When it comes to javascript, then perhaps, indeed, 64-bit browsers are faster. However, as far as launching quickly and navigating the web, I see 32-bit versions as faster.

I think it also depends upon the specific system; 64-bit takes advantage of large RAM. If you do not have excess RAM capacity, then 64-bit browser is of no real benefit. However, this would mean your system has consumed almost all RAM.

For system with 4 GB or more RAM, I would at least try 64 bit.

You can always add SoftPerfect RAM Disk to speed up your browser (both 32 and 64 bit) by placing temp\cache files on RAM Disk. Plus there is added security advantage if you create RAM Disk that deletes everything upon reboot.

All in all there is no absolute need for 64 bit browser; as far as I know there certainly is no security advantage.

You don't see the point cuz you don't have a point at all.

I use a x64 browser mainly because it uses more of my system resources, more ram. I have 8GB and it makes a noticiable difference when running my browser with a lot of extensions and tons of tabs open, it works smooth under heavy load where my x32 browsers where laggy laggy. I had my old machine where I did run only x32 browsers, but having now a fully capable CPU and RAM system there is no reason for me to waste my free system resources.

Maybe it is better for the resources, but the downside is that certain plugins won't work afaik.

What plugins are you talking about, major plugins works just as x32 one. You can have a backup x32 browser as well, the same way you always have a backup browser, I don't see that as a hard downside at all.
I have never had any issues related to plugins not working on my x64 browser.

I had 2 main problems while using 32bit browsers.
First one was freezing while trying opening a web page( especially Firefox)
Second problem was loading time of a web page ( especially Chrome).

Since i decided to use 64bit browsers ( Cyberfox and Slimjet in my case ) these problems disappeared.

So my answer to the question is yes i need a 64bit browser because is much more stable than a 32bit browser

Voted Yes, because why not?

Mac OS X and iOS are 64-bit, with Google's Android following behind. Unsure about Windows 10 Mobile, or when Microsoft will phase out Windows OS 32-bit.

Almost all browsers have 64-bit versions, including the long-developed Firefox clone browsers; Waterfox, Cyberfox, Palemoon etc. Also Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer have 64-bit variants. It's just Firefox for Windows..

This would depend on a set of varying circumstances.
If the 32-bit version is running like a snail and the 64-bit gives more horsepower with a noticeable difference then yes would be the obvious answer.

Do we need a 64bit operating system..?
The same principal will apply.:)

x64 browser is such a catchy word because of some features claims to improve the performance and better render implementation, actually in order to get that, is a little bit sacrifice on resource usage in order to get the satisfaction rate.

In such reality they are totally same to each other, but for sure crashes and other instability issues may reduce.
