I agree. It is not practical to run backup daily though, so one can sync important files to a cloud service on a daily basis. Thanks for sharing.
It is more than clear that the most effective against Rasonware is a backup, on an external disk.![]()
It is your opinion and it is respected. My own opinion is that this guy does a very good test, and i can see the weak points of differences antivirus , and many different ransomwares , and how devastating it is if i get infectedThis is the guy who intentionally screwed up tests, we shouldnt make him more popular.
Waiting for your results buddyHi,
Just installed trial version of the Dr Web Katana alongside Trend Micro Antivirus+. According to Dr Web homepage, its "A non-signature anti-virus offering preventive protection against the latest active threats, targeted attacks, and attempts by Trojans and exploits to use vulnerabilities, including zero-day ones, to penetrate systems."
It's basically a BB? So now i have TM BB and Katana BB active.
Well, they say that the Katana is compatible with Trend Micro. Maybe it protects some system areas/scripts etc that TM does not.
I'll test this combo for a week.
Regards,
