Thank you for letting us all know about the giveaway. It might be helpful for really older computers.
But in my case, I have tried all these driver update software programs and none of them are PC specific, that is the problem with them, they assume that because a driver is out of date for one PC is out of date for another and that simply is not the case. There is a reason drivers are updated, it's because they are computer specific. So this software was no good for me, nor has any I have tried in the past.
First mistake this software made for me was when I selected to backup my drivers before doing anything, it come back with an ERROR and that was even running with Administrator privileges on a Windows 8.1 64 Bit system.
I would suggest using the actual Windows Update built into Windows when it comes to updates rather than this or any other driver updating software because as I said it doesn't take into account computer specific drivers. In my case for example, this software notified me that there was a display driver available that it said I needed to install, so I give it a try and upon trying I got a warning from the driver saying that the driver already installed on my PC was specifically written for my PC and any changes could cause not only stability problems but also usage problems. So I didn't install anything that was recommended by this software.
Just my opinion. Thanks for sharing, I'm sure for older PC's this would be a great program, I have a newer model PC and like I said it's best to let Windows handle those things.
