Dropbox Vs Evernote Vs Google Docs: Leaked Composer App Will Bring Yet Another Cloud-Based Microsoft Word Replacement - Source

Dropbox’s Project Composer is currently a web app, though local desktop and mobile applications could come sometime after official release. Similar to Google Docs and Evernote, the documents are accessible online though a local application would tie together the experience.

Upon heading to the Composer site users are prompted to link up their Dropbox account with the service. After doing so they’re greeted with the “not ready for primetime” message from one of the cutest cats of all time.

Some may be able to access the Composer site early. According to TechCrunch, users of Hackpad that joined before Dropbox’s acquisition of the service can crash the party early. Maggie Bignell, product designer for Pocket, shared her experience:

"Randomly in! I have a note or two in hackpad, so perhaps that allowed me access? Really nice so far—some beautiful (beginnings of, it's a bit of a mash up at the moment) typography and very clean interface (reminiscent of Evernote's web experience). It allows multiple people to work on a note...

A little worried that some of the features are obscured to make the interface super clean, but it's possibly that their use case is that 90% of users will simply take raw, written notes collaboratively."
