Any reason for using Windows 8?

I would always recommend atleast an Adblocker like Nano Adblocker or Ublock for your browsers to keep away phishing attempts, ads, malware + malvertising, etc.

Also an on demand virus removal tool like Malwarebytes, or ZAM, or EEK.

@DTA2017:
  • Specify the exact version number of KIS.
  • Enable SmartScreen in Windows 8.
  • A VPN service in Web Privacy and a PassWord Manager would be welcome.
  • As Virus and Malware Removal Tools: you may add ZAM Free, HitMan.Pro Free, MalwareBytes 4 Windows Free.
Thanks for sharing :giggle:

This setup is certainly on the basic side of being unsecured. I would enable Smartscreen, it's free and built into Windows 8. I would also suggest adding Nano Adblocker or uBlock Origin to your Web browser, don't worry about adding something like Emsisoft Browser Security here, Kasperksy is well known for its robust Web protection.

Lastly I think a VPN wouldn't hurt, Windscribe Free has a great 10GB plan out the box and doesn't leak your IP address.
