A dating advice site run by eHarmony was hacked recently, exposing names, e-mail addresses, and hashed passwords, the dating site revealed Thursday.
EHarmony stressed, however, that the database for eHarmony Advice is separate from its eHarmony dating site, and the personal information of eHarmony.com users was not exposed.
"The site affected was eHarmony Advice (advice.eharmony.com), an ancillary informational site we operate, which uses completely separate databases and web servers than eHarmony.com," an eHarmony spokesman said via e-mail.
