Eradicated System Check Virus

Just wanted to share with you all that the System Check Fake AV Removal Guide that Jack posted works as advertised. I spent the better part of three hours last night helping a friend remove the System Check virus from his wife's laptop via TeamViewer.

In the end I think she actually had more infecting her computer than just System Check. She had no active anti virus solution running on her laptop and because she doesn't "use it much" she didn't think she needed it. How's that working out for you. Anyway the laptop is now up and running free of malware monsters, hopefully this won't happen again.

You're an expert I'm sure you've would've manage to clean the computer even without this guide....
The main reason why I'm writing them is because most rogue removal guides on the internet are very shady and usually recommend the use of products from which the author can take an affiliate commission....
Basically this guys write an article in which they recommend Spyware Doctor or StopZilla and then make you download it with their affiliate tag so they can receive a commission..What's even worse is that they flood the Google Search query because they post this 'removal guides' not just on one site but on many more.

Thank you for the compliment Jack. I'm far from an expert. I do pay attention and I do read a lot about what is out there and the simple precautions one should take when enjoying the internet. You are so right, more often than not the help you find on the net, either in written guides or help video's tend to have an agenda to try and make a buck. That is one of the reasons why I like this forum so much. People actually helping people. Thanks for making this a cool place to hang out
