Glad Eset is starting to be more affordable
Indeed
Unfortunately still more expansive zone alarm I'm currently using ESET due to its lower resource use and how much it improved but overall I think zone alarm who improved a lot is superior against a variety of threats and is actually much cheaper for the highest tier

1 year / 5 devices $17.95 Renewal or put this coupon in the checkout ZafiR

so both eset above and zonealarm are products I would definitely recommend (eset for lower ram devices 4gb-8gb and zonealarm to 8gb+)

It’s a good security software. But it is catastrophic to uninstall. You must go to the safe mode in windows to uninstall eset. I would not use it once again.
Yes, that is how the ESET uninstall tool works. I have had good luck with HiBit uninstaller. But honestly the ESET uninstall tool is the best option. While many others have their own uninstall tool , ESET might be the only one that requires it to run in safe mode. Not a deal breaker for me, just a pain in the butt sometimes. ✌️

Safe mode, pain in the butt....yep, especially if you have Bitlocker enabled. Defiantly need to have your key handy when coming out of safe mode or to make it easier, disable it or suspended it before going into safe mode. I've learned that one the hard way before when trying to come out of safe mode into a boot loop of needing to enter my key when my pin login wouldn't work.

Honestly one has to take everything with justification. The current threat scape is evolving to the point where large portion of malware are leveraging trusted processes and systems even at ring 0 space thus it's not a surprise that in order to have a comprehensive security one needs to go through loops in order to disable it. It's a toss up between having a good security vs ease of use.
