ESET Smart Security - Any recommended settings?

Hi there,
Recently i switched to ESET from Norton 360 and bought a year subscription. any tips to improve it ...or Should it left it in auto mode ?

I'm now using Anti-theft also PUP Detection is turned on

I tried to configure it if I'm creating rule for disk protection it blocks a lot of useful applications like o&o defrag (second rule as you mentioned for disk protection)
and i didn't get about those registry's ?
