When a woman asks me if I "facebook", I know to get away from the lunatic, FAST.
It strikes me as hilariously frivilous that a modern young woman actually believes that she is safer "getting to know" a potential stalker by talking to him online for two years, or a month, and then meeting him miles away from friends and family.
That is safer than personal encounters in public? Text on a screen and pictures of them and their network of alleged friends are more likely to reveal warning signs than personal encounters?
WE HAVE BECOME A SHIP OF FOOLS.
So she avoids trouble for an extended period while the serial stalker/killer is letting it build up for the ultimate sinister eruption when they finally meet in person, away from any safety, such as a personal computer? Then it all comes out?
Do you "facebook"?
I have an old friend that tells me I need to join facebook, but if I want to visit with an old friend I will call. If I want to meet or get to know a woman, I will simply walk up to her and start talking to her like she is my neighbor. It is that simple. NO FACEBOOK NECESSARY.
That way I won't need a pill because I "facebook".
That said, if one is elderly or handciapped and cannot get around to well as a result, then facebook is a useful tool. Otherwise it is quite cowardly, childish, and lazy; and reveals/creates a severe deficiency of inner character. (imho)
