When I rebooted after running and looking at it, I don't see the fake google files running anymore and the PC is running at 6-9% where it runs in idle mode normally. I'm not sure if this means I'm infection-free or not. I still cannot get MalwareBytesPro to run. Should I run another tool? I have a further question. I run McAfee Total Protection suite. It's a paid subscription and I've had it for a while.. yet, obviously, I got infected anyway. I also have MalwareBytes Pro. What is the sense of having paid for both of these tools.. and still get infected? Should I be looking for another tool? Is there a tool or set of tools to protect my PC? My kids use the PC as well as myself.. but we don't do anything overly risky..
