I have a funny feeling they didn’t use malwarebytes browser guard with the product it blocks newly created websites….
The scam websites go unnoticed for long and they are unlikely to be new. Some of them can last for months. Even reporting the websites to the respective providers (Shopify, Wix) doesn’t get them removed for months. Only when malicious actors notice that there are blocks and drop of traffic, they will terminate the project, export it and move it to another website.
Best way to avoid scam shops is to always go on a trusted website, possible one that’s also got retail store. For example, I don’t see a reason why someone would purchase air fryer from mona-rona-dona.com.
Also, if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is.
Read the about information and google the address.
When encountering a new website, always look around the web for reviews and opinions.
Automated tools can only do so much, because there is no brand impersonation. The website runs on a trusted platform and it is very difficult to spot.
