What would I need to upgrade in my PC for faster extracting speed with WinRAR and 7-Zip please ?

A

1. Processor, RAM and HDD. Mostly HDD.
2. Compression ratio plays a factor in extracting speed.
3. File size/type plays a factor in extracting speed. ie. 100 1kb files will take longer to extract than 1 100kb file.

The 2500K is more than enough. You will not benefit from an upgrade.

Thanks. I didn't realize ram speed had a impact.

I give high priority to 7-zip and close the browser and apps that I don't need. For me, it's way faster and it helps :)

A software solution to try: If running on battery-powered device, plug into mains power and set High Performance power plan. This will utilise more CPU power.
