Fedora 16, codenamed "Verne", is due to be released today. Powered by Linux kernel 3.1, it features the GNOME 3.2.1 desktop environment with the GNOME Shell interface and the KDE Software Compilation 4.7.2 environment

I don't think Fedora is any more difficult to use than Ubuntu.
