Important information for Android users of File Protect by McAfee (Intel Security)
Follow instructions: Say Goodbye to File Protect - Android Apps on Google Play

Dear Valued User,

We would like to inform you that Intel® Security File Protect app will be shutting down as of November 10, 2016 and will no longer offer technical support and product updates.

You must export your files before November 10th or you risk losing access to them. We recommend you uninstall the app from your mobile device only AFTER you have exported all of your File Protect files.

CURRENT USERS - please read the following carefully before taking any actions:
  • Do not uninstall this app before exporting your File Protect files as you will risk losing them permanently
  • Once exporting your File Protect files, they are no longer protected by File Protect
  • Make sure there is enough space on your device to store your File Protect files
  • Need help exporting your File Protect Files? Please contact us at IS6106_61279@is.instantservice.com
Thank you for the great feedback we have received from you. This difficult decision is part of any product lifecycle that helps to drive better user experiences. We will implement what we have learned from File Protect in the development of future products.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Kind regards,

Intel® Security File Protect Team
