I guess it would be good for Microsoft but i dont think this would be good for firefox, many people prefer google over bing. also is it permanent or are you able to switch the setting after to whatever search engine you would like to use?

NO!!!, I love Google default search in my Firefox.

Not the dark side! Oh no!

I better have a option to change to Google search..

I just Pimped out my Firefox yesterday (thanks to MrX), so i would hate to have to leave to Google Chrome...

For bing users it would be a good news, but for others Google is much better search engine. Since I think people feel they were good in using Google.

'M' stands for both Mozilla and Microsoft. When they partner with each other, they create the chocolate called M&M's :lolz:

Strange, I know that Mozilla and Microsoft are rivals. I hate bing.

Am sure this will give Bing a bit more ground, who knows maybe they need a chance to put Google on their toes, healthy competition :D

LOL for the title....... not a very good one I might add , a better title would be Mozilla and Microsoft team up against Google!!
Mozilla has made a really smart move , and this is a sign that they are taking the Chrome competition seriously............Mozilla has around 25% of the web browser market share so this will be also a great move for Microsoft which has less than 5% in the search engines market with Bing... It will be interesting to see how this move will affect the market share in the search engine field.

Good reply Jack on this topic as you make a lot of sense in their reasons/motive behind this bold move. It's gonna be interesting to see how this turns out, never really used Bing but might have a look into it.

Have to agree with you on this, even the title name! ;) I just went with the original one posted in the article.. Bing is actually a good search engine, i use it and google both.

This partnership from Mozilla and Microsoft is very welcome in my opinion since Bing is a very good search engine too. Let's see How Google will react to this partnership.

Well, IMO, this isn't really going to dint Google as, well look at what Google.com offers..

Bing's Pretty decent, i'd only use it for it's image searches since it seems to more accuate.

but recently google brang out "Search by Image" does bing have that?
