Food for thought: For tracking protection Peter Low's list is more than enough, here is why ....

Have a look at this statistics below, it makes no sense to add a anti-trackers list of say more than 3500 entries of Peter Low's blocklist.. Reasons are
1. With those 3500 entries, you probably have the TOP 1000 covered wherever you live.
2. This means that ones you don't block only have a very limited outreach (chances you are tracked over multiple websites by local trackers is low)
3. In my case (living in the Netherlands), only one company would have tracked me on 3 websites (I usually visit) and one other tracked me on 2 other websites.

ALL OTHER WEBSITES HAD SOME LOCAL TRACKERS WHICH PETER LOW's FAILED TO BLOCK, BUT THEY ONLY TRACKED ME ON ONE (1) WEBSITE!!!

Since EASYLIST and ADGUARD only offer LOCAL ADVERTISING LISTS (not local tracking list), enabling both ADGUARD TRACKING PROTECTION AND DUTCH ADVERTISING FILTER reduced my third-party exposure for trackers ONLY to two trackers which tracked me on 2 websites.

CONCLUSION: ADDING SOME 75.000 ANTI_TRACKING RULES DID NOT DECREASE MY THIRD-PARTY TRACKING EXPOSURE MUCH (COMPARED TO PETER LOW'S ONLY)

Which is the reason @Kees1958 created his list. He advises U.S. or North American residents to use Peter Lowe, and those in the EU and elsewhere use his list.
GitHub - Kees1958/W3C_annual_most_used_survey_blocklist: This blocklist is based on published surveys of most used advertising and tracking technology
This list works fine with the English adfilter of Easylist or Adguard's base filter in combination with your local language filtering list. For people using Peter Lowe's list I would either use my list or Peter Low's.

I use it at the DNS level:

dns-blocklists/sources.md at main · hagezi/dns-blocklists

Code:
https://pgl.yoyo.org/adservers/serverlist.php?hostformat=hosts&mimetype=plaintext&useip=0.0.0.0

HaGeZi Multi Ultimate.
No FP issues on the websites I visit, of course.

@Sorrento and Parkindson try an A/B test

Do a Speedometer 3.1 benchmark with you favourite list of adblock filters. Backup your configuration (for easy restore).

Now disable all filters and select only 3 filters
1. Adguard Base filter
2. Your language specific Easylist or AG filter (whatever is available)
3. Peter Low's list

Do the Speedometer 3.1 benchmark again.

This is an interesting post on limited added value of high number of rules. The Mounting Cost of Stale Ad Blocking Rules | Brave
But I will ll save you the time by showing some the most interesting result of that field test (which acts as TLDR)..

Tracking protection is primarily intended to block companies tracking you over multiple websites (that is why third-party cookies are disabled nowadays)!

When you use Hagezi Ultimate Mini in the browser with 125K rules is like hanging a trailer on your car with say 100 spare tires in all sorts and sizes. Those spare
tires are functional for people driving other cars, but are no use to you because you don't drive that car! The prevalence charts I showed in my first post that world's 60th largest tracking network only has a market share of less than 0.1 percent, meaning you probably will never visit a website on which that tracking network is used!

The Hagezi Ultimate list has thousends of block rules for websites you will never visit! It is like driving around with a trailor loaded with spare tires for other cars.

I have added Peter Lowe list to the bouquet; it is very small and I doubt I can cause any lag.
