Which is good for tweaking Protection?

you can push Avast to a higher level of protection...just use the tweaks form evjl rain's and you will
have a good antivirus for free . Used it for months....will come back to it after testing Gdata and Bullguard

As @Solarlynx already said Comodo would be the best for tweaked protection and then Avast.
On Comodo forget about the signatures they will not help you much in protection.
But HIPS and Sandbox tweaked will always be there for you.

As for Avast it also has plenty of options to tweak and can offer you very strong protection
