One of the reasons I love DNS services, they show all connections, not just the final one. The webpage will not open without connecting to China, images are also hosted there. Tencent?!

Interesting. That is information I'm not getting by my not using a DNS service.
But as long as it's, the app is connecting to US servers, will that matter security wise i.e. China spying?

I tried it for some time, but with each update it removes the app's built-in features and replace it with a link to windows settings section to manage it from there instead, which will be in the end a central app to find settings easier, and it always runs in the background, if you know what are you looking for in windows settings you don't need it.

But from my installed app, it isn't connecting to China. Maybe the initial webpage @TairikuOkami pointed to there is, in which my lack of understanding is probably not getting the concern, unless the installed app was connecting to China? So again, apologies for my ignorance if, that I'm not getting it

US link still connecting to China. It looks like some geo check, not sure why. Still it will not connect unless I allow Chinese domain, which I will not.

It looks like "Microsoft PC Manager" will be installed by default from now on, or if you were installed once it will be added to your system "Provisioned apps" to be installed by default for every account created, how to check if you have installed it before? Just run the following command on Windows Terminal as Admin:

Get-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online | Select PackageName

If "Microsoft.MicrosoftPCManager_3.16.6.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe" in your list, then it will be installed automatically from now on.
