Having seen ( and tried) a few different security programs with free licenses of varying duration, I am trying very hard to stick to one configuration. I now have Windows Defender and SecureAPlus running on my Windows 10 laptop, but the temptation to try something different crops up every time I see a new promotion. Watchdog Antimalware/ZAM Pro (Zemana Ltd shows in Task Manager Startup), and Heimdal Pro are two examples. I also have free licenses to AVG Antivirus Pro and Avast Internet Security, to name a few that I obtained legitimately, but have fought off the urge to install and use with Watchdog AM or something else lets say. Just curious how many others in here feel the same way. :)

I'm constantly changing my configuration. There's no harm in it, particularly when there's so many free products and trial licenses to play around with. There's never going to be the "perfect config". The name of the game is adapting to the latest in malware technology.

I wish for a Hitman Pro license. It's one of the few products I didn't try yet, and perhaps the only one I never saw a free license for.

If you have a virtual machine or an isolated program, then its fun way to test the security program considering where a product have strong and weak points.

Others install a rollback software where they can revert anytime. Its up to you how the steps you are going to do.

I am not paranoid on security, privacy, etc... I like to keep it simple, easy & less instead of more.

I do try software, security software, etc... sometimes coz got a lic, sometimes curiosity, sometimes to see the software is better & light compared to currently installed, etc...

I tried software with Shadow Defender & SD always worked as expected.
Now I try software with AX64/FB & yet worked as expected.

SD & FB are incompatible so went with FB as software needs restart can be tested too.

I have tried VM too but those needs quite a space. SD or FB are simple, easy & effective. And I dont test malware now so good with SD or FB.
