There are many people reporting that their GS3 is suddenly dying. There is a thread at XDA Developers about the sudden Death of the GS3 which has reached over 120 pages: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1993044

Did any one here who has this phone faced the problem?

Nope, but I hope that it's only a small problem, because that's the Phone that I want to get...

Small problem? Over 120 pages.. I don't think so. Probably a Hardware fault, Apple fans will be happy.

I have had mine now for about 2 months and no problems yet.I read a few articles on it and Samsung appears to claim it is a hardware problem and is fixing them with stock and rooted roms. They are replacing the mainboards but it seems as though the replacement is the same as the one that went bad.Since it seems to happen on both stock as well as rooted phones it cant be blamed on a no stock ROM.It is a huge problem nevertheless.I wonder if Apple sabotaged the S3 :p

Unfortunately it does not appear to be a small issue. According to what I understood the NAND memory gets damaged. My aunt wanted to buy one, but after knowing this, I recommended the GS2 to her, there is nothing wrong with its specs.

Let's hope the Galaxy Note 2 does not have this problem.

Do you think the problem is with the chipset itself or the way the S3 is built?

I am kind of wishing I went with the Galaxy Note II anyway.I was tossing it around but went with Galaxy S III instead. The Note II is a BIG phone but it is awesome and I love the stylus,I had a stylus on an HTC Touch PRO and used it all the time.I think if I was to recommend a phone right now it would be the Note II.It is about $100 more than the S III.Maybe waiting out this problem is better advice than anything else.
