I ran GData for 10 months, then I had an unrelated issue on my computer (device in GData lingo) and did not use it for 5 weeks. I solved the issue on the device and it booted aok, but now my GData app says my license is invalid? ok ##### happens, but the email I'm getting from support is unclear or rather beyond unclear, more like inky-murky bs. If it doesn't get better soon, that's a deal breaker. To renew or not to renew, pissing users off around renewal time is just stupid. Maybe a new day will make it better...

Sorry to hear about your issue. It's possible there's a misunderstanding or a technical glitch. Try to reach out to GData support again, explaining your issue in detail. If the problem persists, consider exploring other security options.

My emails to them are much more detailed then theirs to me.

GData support is terrible. Plus the software itself is easy to bypass and there's a ton of bugs that have existed going on 15 years or so at this point. The product might place well in a signature scanning test but it fails miserably every single time against more sophisticated tests.

But I know people here like to play with software.

UPDATE: the first 2 replies from GData were below par IMO, but 3d reply (different tech) was very good, and helped me "fix" the issue, so all good now. Sometimes it can be helpful to step away for a day. :)

A real GD tech understood my email and 3d attempt I got a good reply, all fixed. Yeah, I'm playing a little... My GD expires in 3 weeks weeks, either I keep GD or figure out another to try. I do like the fact that GD is not a subscription (or so they claim) so I won't get billed if I'm out doing something else. I can't speak to bypass (& I run it with Cyberlock) but not sure what if anything to try next, maybe McAfee? open to suggestions :D
